About the Programme

Dattopant Thengadi Shodh Sansthan in Bhopal is organizing a two-week Capacity Building Programme (CBP) sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR). The programme is specifically designed for young social science faculty members to address the growing need for professional development in research. It aims to provide a structured academic platform to bridge gaps in research design, methodological tools, data analysis, and publication ethics.

The initiative seeks to enhance the research capacities of academicians by enabling them to develop research proposals, improve ongoing work, prepare publishable papers, and understand the norms of ethical publication. It will also support young faculty members in applying for research grants, participating in interdisciplinary projects, and contributing effectively to evidence-based knowledge production.

Eligibility and Support

Participants must be regular Lecturers or Assistant Professors of Social Sciences in a UGC recognised Indian University, Deemed University, College, Institute of National Importance, or ICSSR Research/Recognised Institute. Applications must be duly forwarded by the parent institution. Those who have already attended any such programme sponsored by ICSSR or another sponsored organisation are not eligible to apply.

The programme is fully sponsored by ICSSR, New Delhi, and no registration fee is charged from participants. Outstation participants will be provided free accommodation on a twin sharing basis along with meals and refreshments. Travel allowances (3AC) for the shortest route will be reimbursed to outstation participants as per the guidelines.

How to Apply

Interested faculty members must complete the Google Form and upload the duly filled Annexure A and Annexure B (NOC from the Head of the parent Institution). The application and all required documents must be submitted through the Google Form on or before 30th October 2026 by 06:00 PM.

Applicants must also send signed hard copies of Annexure A, Annexure B, and a brief CV to the specified postal address at Bhopal. No leave of any kind is permissible during the course period.
