Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering, KLS Gogte Institute of Technology in association with computer society of India is hosting six days international winter school on cyber security from 19th Feb 2022 to 24th Feb 2022
The Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) defines cybersecurity as “the protection of information assets by addressing threats to information processed, stored, and transported by internetworked information systems”. In 2022 cybersecurity is among the top priori- ties for any organisation. Most of the organisations have significantly increased their cybersecurity budget due to surge in the cyber attacks. On the other side there is a gap in the supply and demand of talented cybersecurity professionals across the globe. The main objective of the winter school is to address the talent gap between academia and industry in the field of cybersecurity. The winter school includes talks by eminent professionals in the field, posters by PG students and research scholars and  capture  the  flag(CTF)  events,  networking  with speakers  and  peer  participants. The  winter  school comprises of talks on trending topics such as Zero trust, Phishing,  Protection   against   Advanced   Persistent Threats,  Extended  Detection  and  Response  (XDR), Safeguarding  Artificial  Intelligence,  OWASP Top  10, Cloud Security, Cyber Reconnaissance, Identity Access and Management, Digital Forensics, Blockchain and many more
