One Week Online Teachers Training Program (TTP) On the topic “An exploration of recent innovation in herbal drug development” Scheduled from 5th July- 10th July 2021, the program is hosted by School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, UTD, RGPV, Bhopal, the program is also sponsored by AICTE.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVE:

This TTP program will includes basic learning about the extraction, purification, isolation, quantification and standardization of various biologically potent compound from natural products. The program will help to understand basic concepts and application of different novel techniques in the field of research and development of phyto-pharmaceuticals production and its exploration.

PROGRAM OUTCOME

The low success rate of drug discovery in herbal requires a paradigm shift for innovative drug development strategies. Innovative drug discovery starts by deriving inspiration from natural products for effective treatment of disease conditions. The relevance of natural products in providing innovative drugs to find solutions to communicable and non-communicable diseases can be emphasized with advanced technologies. Technological advances have made it possible to understand the profiles of these complex natural products with the potential to discover new drugs for use. An impressive number of blockbuster drugs have been isolated or synthesized from natural product as lead compounds. In this era of advancing scientific technology, innovative drug discovery from natural products will potentially increase the success rate of new therapeutic moieties. Natural product drug discovery stands as a major contributor to solving global health challenges and achieving sustainable development goals on health.

This program aims to provide a basic understanding of how the herbal drug technology works and attempts to provide an explanation for some of its contradictions. The objective is to provide a backdrop to the innovation so that the challenges of the issue of pharmaceuticals in the environment can be better understood.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Faculty from AICTE approved institutions across the country of relevant disciplines. Priority will be given to faculty from RGPV affiliated institutions. Batch Size is limited to maximum 100 participants.

Registration Fees: There is no Registration Fee. The eligible candidates will be entertained on first come first serve basis.

For participation in the training program it is mandatory to register using given portal link. Confirmation to the registered participants, program schedule, and session link will be shared by the program coordinator.

CERTIFICATION:

Certificates will be issued subject to the participants qualifying the following conditions:

  1. a) Minimum 80% attendance.
  2. b) Minimum 60% marks in the exam conducted on last day of the program. The online test will be of multiple choice questions and will be of 50 minutes duration. Only the candidate who will qualify against the 80% attendance criterion will be allowed to appear in the e-test for certification.
