The course will initially introduce types of research methods and steps in social science research. The techniques of data collection will be discussed to understand the context of the study. Both qualitative and quantitative research methods will be discussed. The course also aims to introduce ethics of research to the participants which arise while conducting research. By the end of the course, participants will have a research proposal developed based on their interest.

Program Objectives

The goal of the course is to develop the participant’s ability to design and formulate their research plan. It will provide them with the skills to use various approaches in research. On successful completion of the course, participants will have developed a proposed research project. The target participants of the course include people interested in conducting independent research. The course will be useful for academicians, students, independent researchers as well as individuals associated with Non-Governmental Organisation.
