Eligibility Criteria for ICSSR Research Methodology Course at JNU 2026
Who can apply:
- Registered Ph.D. scholars in any Social Science discipline
- From UGC-recognized universities, deemed universities, colleges, institutes of national importance, or ICSSR research institutes
Preference will be given to:
- Scholars in pre-data collection/fieldwork phase of research
- First-time applicants for methodology workshops
- Candidates with strong research proposals
Not eligible: Those who have already attended any UGC or ICSSR sponsored research methodology program
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected based on:
- Quality of research proposal (1000 words in English or Hindi)
- Current stage of research (pre-data collection phase preferred)
- First-time applicant status
- Representation across social science disciplines, social background, and gender
Intake: Maximum 30 seats (20 for outstation, 10 for local participants)
