International Conference on Recent Advances in Science & Technology for Sustainable Development (RASTSD-2026) by Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering
Introduction:
Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE), an autonomous institute affiliated to VTU and accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ grade, is proud to host the International Conference on Recent Advances in Science and Technology for Sustainable Development (RASTSD-2026) from January 8–10, 2026.
Organized jointly by the Departments of Biotechnology, Chemistry, and Chemical Engineering, this premier hybrid conference serves as a global platform for academia, industry, and research institutions to exchange knowledge and drive innovation in sustainability-focused science and technology.
About the Organizing Departments:
- Department of Biotechnology: An NBA-accredited department offering B.E., M.Sc. (Engg. by Research), and Ph.D. programs. It focuses on interdisciplinary research in applied biological sciences, computational biology, and biochemical engineering, with significant R&D funding from DST, DBT, and other agencies. The department also runs a semi-commercial Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory.
- Department of Chemistry: One of the oldest departments at DSCE (established 1979), it emphasizes interdisciplinary education and research. It is a recognized VTU research centre, holds an institutional membership with the Electrochemical Society of India, and actively executes funded research projects.
- Department of Chemical Engineering: An NBA-accredited department and a VTU-recognized research centre. It maintains strong industry-academia partnerships, has international collaborations (e.g., with Dundee College, Scotland), and regularly organizes expert sessions on industrial safety, FDPs, and workshops.
