The Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), in collaboration with the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), is set to host a Ten-Day Research Methodology Course for research scholars in the field of social sciences. Scheduled from March 19 to March 28, 2025, this intensive workshop aims to provide in-depth knowledge and practical exposure to various research methodologies essential for conducting high-quality research.

The Importance of Research Methodology in Social Sciences

Research in social sciences plays a crucial role in understanding societal dynamics and addressing contemporary issues. However, many scholars struggle with research design, data collection, and analysis due to a lack of formal training in research methodologies. This Ten-Day Research Methodology Course aims to bridge this gap by equipping participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical research skills.

• Mode: The course will be conducted offline.

• Duration: March 19 to March 28, 2025.

• Timings: 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

• Seats: Limited to 30 participants (10 outstation, 10 within the state, and 10 from KSOU campus).

• Registration Fee: No fee required.

• Accommodation: Provided on a twin-sharing basis for outstation participants.

• Travel Reimbursement: Eligible for II AC train/bus fare up to INR 1000.
