AICTE – ISTE Sponsored Online Induction/Refresher Program on “Al in Power and Energy Utilities” 18-24 January 2022

Objectives

Electrical engineers come with the skill set to make effective contributions in the field of Al. Once they fine tune their knowledge base with the necessary know how of Al and ML, they can develop comprehensive strategies in the field of EEE, generating new codes and revamping existing codes for application in existing electrical domains, building Massive Al and ML platforms for power and energy sectors. This six-day FOP focus on familiarization with applications and control techniques of Al in smart grid, renewable energy and electric vehicles. It intends to equip the participants to apply the fundamentals of Al and Deep learning in Python tools and MATLAB. This will be an excellent learning opportunity for researchers and faculty who focus on applied research by collaborating with industry experts and academicians.

The Program aims to cover the following topics

·         Mathematical Analysis of Various ML Algorithms

·         Al Techniques for Power System Protection

·         Intelligent Control Techniques for Electrical Systems

·         Reinforcement Learning Control of Complex Nonlinear Systems

·         Battery Management Techniques using Al for Electric Vehicles

·         Simulations and Control – an Industrial approach

·         Hands on – Al with python

·         Hands on – familiarization of various Al toolbox in MATLAB
